My condolences to all the family. I was best friends with carol from 1959 to 1967 doing every thing together. She lived around the corner from me and we went to school together at west kirby grammar school and we worked in Liverpool after school, carol at midland bank and me at the royal insurance. We the both to London to work at the royal Lancaster hotel, but lost touch for some reason. I would love to know when she went to America and what happened in her life. Thank you

Carol was one of the sweetest, most gentle people I've ever had the privilege to know. My heart goes out to Carol's family. I will miss Carol very much.

Carol and I connected online in a pet loss forum several years ago, and she was such a kind and compassionate friend. I'm so thankful to have met her and Jim in person. She leaves a legacy of love in the many hearts she has touched.

So grateful we all had the chance to meet Carol. Her legacy lives on in her beautiful children and grandchildren! She will be greatly missed because I know she was greatly loved!

I wanted to share a very fond memory I have of Carol - the very first time I met her. This just happened to take place at the Hope Church Wine Gala fundraising event. During the silent auction she very openly and intentionally outbid me at the very last second on a bracelet I was aiming for. I was so surprised as I watched her sign her name quickly when the auctioneer called out "auction closed"! I tried to make light of the situation and didn't want to make my disappointment at losing the bracelet too obvious - but Carol didn't say much. She simply smiled her big beautiful smile at me! Moments later she was heading toward me in the crowded room - with that beautiful smile preceding her - and the bracelet we both were bidding on. She explained that she intentionally outbid me to buy the bracelet for me as a gift! I was so astonished at her generosity and this outpouring of kindness from someone I never met before that I was moved to tears, as I have never experienced anything like this before in my life! Shortly afterwards I found out she did the same thing with about 3 or 4 other auction items and people that night - and I knew then that she was a very special lady indeed. Later that night as we talked a little about her family and the joy she got from them all, she told me she was only there to spread joy and happiness to others (and to help the church by doing this). I realized right away that I had been touched by one of God's angels on earth - as beautiful inside and she was on the outside. Rest in Peace Carol, as I know God holds you in his loving arms - until we meet again.
