Carol Jean Riesinger

Carol came to San Antonio in early 1954. In 1967, she started working at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital and eventually became Assistant Head Nurse of Surgery in 1979, where she remained until retirement, on December 29, 1995.

Carol was a single mother of four. She loved her children, grandchildren and especially, her great grandchildren, who were the loves of her life. Carol was an avid reader and loved her pug, Miss Groovey Girl. Everyone loved Carol and called her their friend. She was steadfast, loving, caring, and excellent company. She loved her job, the Lord, and especially enjoyed retirement!

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard "Jim" Gibson.

Carol is survived by daughter, Karen Marie Riesinger; son, Grant E. Riesinger III; daughter, Christy A. Quigley (Bill); son, Eric L. Riesinger (Phila); grandchildren: Krystle Ann Camarillo and Lillian "Tayler" Quigley; great grandchildren, Daniel Quigley, Jake Camarillo, Paige Camarillo and KayLynn Weicht; brother, William O. Gibson (Anna); brother, Sherlie Donald Gibson; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family in Coolville, Ohio.
