In 1967, she retired from the Comptroller, Accounting and Finance Division of Kelly AFB. She enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas and received great pleasure and joy from family gatherings.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Tomasa Cadena and two brothers: Gilbert F. Cadena and Robert Cadena.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew R. Duran; her sister and brother-in-law, Alice Sanchez and Gilbert Sanchez; sisters-in-law: Vickie Cadena and Josie Cadena; step-children: Andrew M. Duran and Rebecca D. Garcia; three step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Joseph Cadena, Leopoldo A. Rios, Jeremy Shawn Duran, Fernando J. Leos, Jessica Sanchez and Ann Garcia-Castro and Honorary Pallbearer John Cantu of Phoenix, AZ.
