I remember thinking Carolyn was so pretty and she was always nice to me when I spent the night with Maxie.

David -- Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We had no idea of Carolyn's illness and just found out at noon today about the service. Every time we were in Carolyn's company both Kathy and I were touched by her warmth and her inner beauty. We are sure she will be missed by many. God bless you and the family.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Carolyn's passing. When you two lived in our neighborhood she was a dedicated walker, and I had the privilege of taking a few walks with her she was a more dedicated walker than I. Anyone who visited with her could immediately see that she was a lady of wit, humor, charm, class and compassion. She always talked about her family with such love and pride. I admired her greatly. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and keep you.

My son is an attorney so I happen to see obit on internet. My mother, Juanita Kight, passed away almost 4 years ago. Won't Heaven be a wonderful place? We have that HOPE!

Aunt Carolyn has always been a bright and shining light for the Jones family, a woman of grace and kindness. She continually made everyone feel special and welcome, which is a tremendous gift. For Aunt Carolyn, you were wonderful and loved no matter the mistakes you've made in life or the path you chose. For those in need, you could count on a "Bless your heart..." which was truly meant and heartfelt. She was an example to all of us in her devotion to her family and love for all. David - So sorry to hear about Carolyn. I know you will miss her a great deal, but remember that she is now whole again in a better way than ever before and has no pain or suffering as she just went through. I Have not seen you much through the years, but I remember one thing about you - when you made up your mind to do something, you did your best to see it through, and therefore, I know you were dedicated to Carolyn and I know she knew it - and that is what counts in the end - Lynda and I will keep you in our prayers, as you have some tough days ahead. Please remember what a friend told me when my Dad passed away - "all your thoughts now are sad and everything in that vein are kind of like on the front burner -- but as time goes on, the sad parts will gradually slide onto the back burner and you will be able to remember the great times and fun times with a chuckle and know that Carolyn is doing fine and waiting for you in Heaven." David, I cannot tell you how very often I have thought of you over the past months and years and could only imagine the sadness you were suffering just in knowing that your time with Carolyn was dwindling every day. Jerry and I, too, have been married 47 years, and what a void that would leave in either of our lives without the other. Carolyn must have considered herself fortunate to have such a caring, compassionate husband. You are unique to have shared such an eduring and lasting relationship, and it is quite obvious that your love for Carolyn never wavered. With every communication, it was even more obvious what an attentive caregiver you were. I know you tried to enjoy life to the fullest these later days which I am glad you were able to do, but nothing but God's comfort and time can heal such a broken heart as yours. My words are inadequate to express my sadness for you. Please know that Jerry and I have you in our thoughts and prayers.
