Carolyn Merka

Carolyn Mae Klopp Merka, aged 80, passed away on January 2, 2025, in San Antonio, TX. She was surrounded by her daughter, Kelli, and her beloved grandchildren, Will and Jacob. She was born on November 20, 1944, in Wichita, KS, and lived a life marked by family and faith. She was the youngest of nine children and shared a special and treasured bond with her four sisters.

Carolyn was the embodiment of kindness and warmth and found great comfort in her Catholic faith. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her.

Family was Carolyn's greatest treasure. She is survived by her oldest daughter, Kelli Beougher, and was predeceased by her daughter, Staci Beougher. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Will Beougher, Jacob Hall, and Rowan Beougher, who will carry her warmth and spirit in their hearts.

To honor Carolyn, a private service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. Carolyn will be laid to rest alongside her beloved youngest daughter, Staci.
