Carolyn's first passion was the love for her family. She was the former co-owner of Sanborn's Travel in San Antonio and Austin. Carolyn embraced the outdoors as she loved to travel, ski, fish, hunt, hike, and play with her golden girls. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cousin and friend who will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Diane Ferrell. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jay; daughters, Rebecca Nielsen and husband, Wally, Nicole Ureles and husband, Jeff, Jana Lipe and husband, Del; son, Jay B. Rea, III; grandchildren, Sonia, Sabrina, Ben, Abigail and Austin; cousin, Wilma Amdere of Longrun, CO.
