She was born in Silver Creek, Nebraska and came to San Antonio when she was 19.
She was a former member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Sorrell worked at Borden's, Metzger's, Carnation, Knowlton's and Oak Farm's Dairies as a Lab Technician.
