Carrie Mae Hill

Carrie Mae Hill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was called home by the Lord on December 22, 2012 at the age of 70. She was born November 6, 1942 in Belton, TX to Jack and Lizzie (Hubbard) Thompson. Carrie was baptized at age 12. She attended Holy Redeemer High School; St. Mary’s University and worked as a social worker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Herbert Thompson. Carrie is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Eugene Hill; sister, Bobbie Philips; children, Clarence A. Craig, James E. Blackman (Sandra), Walter J. Blackman (Kristi), Eugene Hill (Melissa), Michael A. Hill (Tonia), David C. Hill (Amy) and Benjamin S. Hill. Also left to cherish her memory are 25 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 2011 E. Carson St. San Antonio, TX 78208. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:30am, also at St. Stephen Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
