

Cary Plotkin Kavy, age 58 of San Antonio, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and wife, a hard-working lawyer, a dedicated and fun-loving friend, an active adventurer, and a person of faith who loved all of God's creations. Cary was preceded in death by her parents, William Plotkin and Anna Jane Rodebaugh and her sister, Leesa Jane Carr. Cary is survived by her husband, Jeff Kavy; children, Emily Jane Kavy, Hannah Irene Kavy, and William Plotkin Kavy; sister, Lorrene Gaynor; brothers, Bill Plotkin and wife, Pat, Jordan Plotkin and wife, Carla, John Plotkin; and brother-in-law, Bill Carr. She is the sister-in-law of Eileen Kavy and husband, Rowland Aertker, Neal Kavy and wife, Hilary, Sharon (Kavy) and husband, Allan Meyer, Sol Kavy and wife, Dana, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Rabbi Jeffrey Abraham and Hazzan Jeremy Lipton will officiate. Graveside service will be conducted 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Kavy Family Cemetery in Windsor, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Audubon Society or a charity of your choice.
