

He was born in Irapuato, Mexico on January 6, 1928 and later with his family moved to Chicago. He graduated from the Latin American Institute and afterward enlisted in the army where he served proudly. He married his wife Josephine, moved to Cleveland, started a family and then they moved to Mexico. They later retired to San Antonio.
He is survived by his wife Josephine of 60 years, his children; Marguerite Steve Bailey, of Wilmington, Delaware; Rick of DeKalb, IL; and John of Bandon, Oregon. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kristen Nick Mans and their children Alexa, Madeline, and Nickolaus; Kelly Keith Counsellor and their children Amber and Jordan; and Megan Rich Stevenson and their children Tucker and Bailey. He was preceded by his brothers Bernie and Ralph, leaving brothers Eddie, Wally, and sister Virginia as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Fresenius Dialysis Center and their staff, the Methodist Stone Oak Hospital and Drs. Paley and Garza.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
