She was a native and lifetime resident of San Antonio.
She was a member of the History Club, Junior League, Conservation Society, Christ Episcopal Church Altar Guild, Junior Daughters of the King, a German Club honoree and Order of the Alamo duchess of the Court of Seville.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Jarratt Beanland and grandson, Jarratt Johnson Wood;
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Candy and J. David Jefcoat, Jr. of Memphis, TN; daughter, Marion Christie Wood of San Antonio; and grandchildren, Catherine Julia Jefcoat of Chicago, IL; James David Jefcoat III of Charlotte, NC and William Hemphill Wood of San Angelo; and one great granddaughter, Madeleine McLeod Garst Wood.
