Catherine Joan Maali

Our beloved Catherine Joan Maali, age 65, passed away on March 14, 2014 surrounded by her entire family after losing her battle with cancer. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1948. Family was the center of her life; she raised four children and eight grandchildren. She opened her heart and home , welcoming all into our family circle. She instilled in her children that family is the strongest bond we will ever make and our love and strength will carry our family through good and bad times. She loved deeply and gave freely of herself; she will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents John Howard and Eleanor Catherine Hare and her son Keith Allen Stuczynzski. She is survived by daughter Alexanderia Maali and her husband Dennis Garrison and their children Kira Maali-Gensel, Tamara Gensel, Joshua Garrison his wife Tommi Garrison, and Jacob Garrison his wife Janet Garrison and daughter Kaelyn Garrison; son John Maali his wife, Jennifer and their children John Howard Jr, Sarah Helen, and Catherine Joan; daughter Eleanor Ybarbo her husband Gilbert and their children, Regan Anastasia, Bianca Grace, and Maxwell Alexander; sister Elizabeth Foster her husband Edward Foster and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Viewing will be Saturday, March 22 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on 1701 Austin Highway in San Antonio at 12pm. Funeral services will follow afterwards in the chapel and memorial gardens.
