Catherine Schattenberg, age 95, passed away on December 25, 2023. She was born in New Orleans, LA. On June 2, 1928 to George and Hilda Marks. She moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1945 when she married her husband of 45 years, Herbert John Schattenberg Jr. They raised 3 Children.
She had a very fulfilling life. She loved to bowl and at one time was on three leagues. She loved to play cards with her friends and grandkids, going to Vegas and loved watching sports. She was even in a Fantasy Football league with her grandsons.
She is survived by her son Herbert John Schattenberg III (Linda) daughter Cathy Gaffney, daughter Karen Sommers (Henry), 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother George Marks Jr. and her granddaughter Shannon Gaffney.
