Catherine Holmes Wall

Catherine Holmes Wall passed away peacefully on March 4, 2013. She was born in Tyler, Texas on March 10, 1928 to Elizabeth Louise and Irvin Pope Holmes. In her early teens, she moved to San Antonio and graduated from Brackenridge High School. She married the late Kenneth Ray Wall on August 9, 1947 and she worked at Fort Sam Houston. Catherine is survived by their four children, Debra Wall Hime and Milton Hime of Austin, Elizabeth Lockman and husband, Tim of San Antonio, Kenneth Wall and Heather Anderson of Houston, Janet Wall Klein of San Antonio, and Tim Klein of Humble; loving grandchildren, Amy and Issac Clubb, Daniel Lockman, Travis Klein, Zach Klein, Lilli Hime and Kate Anderson; cousins, Jerry Holmes of Houston; sisters-in-law, Jean Holmes of Arkansas, Janice Monro of Washington; and her beloved nieces and nephews. She cherished her extended families at Cole High School, Madison High School, Coker United Methodist Church, and The Waterford. The family extends warmest gratitude to the staffs of Patriot Heights, Sterling House, and Grace Hospice.

Private interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Coker United Methodist Church.
