Cathy was raised in San Antonio and attended St. Mary's University. In 1970, she married the love of her life, Theodore Van Delden, and together they were blessed with six children. For more than 45 years, she worked alongside her family at Van Delden Company.
Cathy found great joy in caring for others. She loved cooking and baking and was known for her incredible generosity, always welcoming family and friends with a warm meal and an open heart. She delighted in decorating her home for every holiday and special occasion, creating a place where everyone felt loved and at home. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished her church community.
Above all, Cathy will be remembered for her extraordinary cooking, her unwavering love for her family, and her selfless generosity. Her kindness, warmth, and giving spirit touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore Van Delden, and her parents, Elva and Joe Hoffmann.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Ted Van Delden and his wife, Yuejuan; Hans Van Delden and his wife, Swann; Eric Van Delden and his wife, Julianna; Heidi Grabow and her husband, Brian; Kurt Van Delden and his wife, April; and Peter Van Delden and his wife, Lisa.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Tabitha, Cole, Mou, Joey, Hunter, Jacob, Ethan, Kurt, Kristin, Laura, Conner, Audrey, Taylor, and Madison.
Cathy is also survived by her siblings, Edward Hoffmann, Patrick Hoffmann, Jeanette Johnson, Rosemarie Comparin and her husband, Bob, and Margie Svetlik and her husband, Rick, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
