Cathy Sue Mantz, age 57, of Alexandria,VA passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 in San Antonio, TX. She is reunited with her loving husband Marty and her mom Linda to accompany her with this transition.
You could find her cheering on her favorite sports teams, answering all the questions to Jeopardy, finding and recreating delicious meals from the food network, jamming to true golden classic rock and relaxing through diamond painting. She was a down to earth woman who could make you feel at ease and have a good time when it came to connecting in the living room. Her favorite teams to root for were the Washington Redskins when it came to football, Washington Nationals for baseball and the Washington Capitals for hockey. On hot summer days you could hear the familiar tunes of Metallica, Skid Row and AC/DC coming from her home and vehicle. A true rocker and unique soul that will carry the tunes through.
Not only was she your go to TV companion, she was a jack of all trades with her knowledge in Auto mechanics as well that came in handy at the Auto body shop. Cathy was the woman you could go to and count on for useful knowledge and skills that would get you by in life. From her home cooked meals, fun facts that came in handy for Jeopardy, finding patience through beauty in diamond painting, and tips for your car she was a well-rounded grandma, mother, wife and friend to those who have had the pleasure to know her.
She is survived by her sons Christopher and William, Dad Donnie, Brother Michael, Grandkids Kenzie and Beckette and cats Sox and Roxy who will cherish the memories shared.
“So close no matter how far
couldn’t be much more from the heart
forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters.”
