Cecile Mary Caroline Bosworth (née Pikor), 92 of San Antonio, TX died Sunday, January 31, 2021. Mema – as she was known to all – was born in Franklin, NH on July 10, 1928 as the youngest child and only daughter of Rosana and Albert Pikor. She had fond memories of seeing Snow White at the movie theatre with her father, swimming at Webster Lake, and ice skating on the Winnipesaukee River that runs by her family's home. Shortly after her childhood sweetheart, Raymond “Boz” Bosworth, joined the Navy, Mema became a wartime bride.

Their humble 1944 nuptials in Gulfport, Mississippi was just the beginning of a blessed 76-year marriage. They raised four children while being relocated to a multitude of army bases. Mema enjoyed partaking in the officers’ wives’ club events and became an expert at turning each house into a home for her growing family. After they retired in San Antonio, Cecile, always creative and artistically inclined, opened an art studio called Ceramic City near Fort Sam Houston where local women would gather to paint. Mema was a pragmatic confidante, who liked her cream with a little bit of coffee and a good gossip magazine. She also became infamous for having her picture taken with celebrities; either real, costumed, or look-alikes.

Throughout her life, Mema remained focused on her family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She created loving bonds that spanned each new generation.

Cecile is survived by her daughter, Linda Bosworth, of Houston, TX; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Boz; both of her sons, Raymond and Gerry Bosworth; a daughter, JoAnn Martin; and a grandson, Patrick Jablecki.

Private services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
