Cecilia Lopez

Cecilia P. Lopez was born July 28, 1915 and entered into rest November 12, 2010 at the age of 95. For most of her life, she was a beautician in San Antonio. Cecilia was a devoted wife, caring mother and a loving grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Timoteo and Josefina (Quintero)Palomera, her husband, Victor D. Lopez, her brothers, Timothy and Marion Palomera and her sister Carmen Lopez.

Survivors include her daughter Rose Marie Slightom and husband Richard; grandchildren, Elizabeth Coddington and husband Ray, Karen Ruiz and husband Joe, Camille Peterson and husband Michael and Elena Ticer and husband Parrish; great-grandchildren, Clare and Annie Weitz, Ryan Coddington, Nicholas Ruiz, Vanessa Meyer and husband Herman, Mitchell Peterson and Brody and Garrett Ticer; great-great grandsons, Grayson and Dillon Meyer.

Visitation be will 5pm, Wednesday, November 17, 2010 with a Rosary to be recited 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2010 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church and/or the Alzheimer’s Association.
