

Cecilia E. Palmero loving wife and mother passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the age of 90 in Cypress, Texas. Cecilia was born November 22, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas to Newton and Edna Mitchell.
Cecilia loved traveling, needlecrafts, and birds. She was a member of the “Great Generation”, Cecilia grew up during the Great Depression and lived through World War II.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents Newton and Edna, sisters Jeanette Cysenski and Gene Engleken, and brother Newton J. Mitchell Jr. Cecilia is survived by her loving son Randy Palmero and wife Michelle grandson’s Ryan Palmero (Shelby) and Scott Fonger niece’s Lynda Cortan and Brenda Yeager. Cecilia is also survived by April Hubbard and husband Mark and great-grandson Gavin Fonger and his brother Caden Fonger. The family would like to thank the lovely ladies of Caine Home Health Care for the care they provided Cecilia.
Visitation will take place at Sunset Funeral Home Tuesday April 5th, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 12:00pm Wednesday April 6, 2016 in the Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel 17501 Nacogdoches Road San Antonio, Texas 78266 with a Funeral Mass to follow with entombment in the Holy Cross Mausoleum.
