Ceferina Violango Lupiba, born February 3, 1918 in the Philippines to the late Leon and Maria Violango, died on February 13, 2002. She joined her late husband of 52 years, George L. Lupiba. Together they owned and operated the Manila Café on Broadway for 50 years. Prior to this, she taught home economics in the Philippines. She is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Georgeana Serna and Pete, San Antonio; son and daughter-in-law, George A. Lupiba, Jr. and Cynthia, Denver, CO; daughter and family friend, M. Audrey Lupiba and Gretchen Deld, New Orleans, LA; grandson and wife, Kristofer Lupiba and Cynthia, San Antonio; granddaughter, Alexandra Lupiba, Denver, CO; great grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Amber and Kiana Lupiba; numerous nieces and nephews.
