Mom leaves behind to mourn her loss daughter, Maria Magdalena Gallegos known as Maggie; sons, Abel Gallegos (Rose), Jose Gallegos (Mari), Alex Gallegos (Diana); 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Arturo Martinez (Nena) and sister in-law, Lupe Martinez. Mom is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mom retired as a cafeteria lady from the SAISD where it gave her great pleasure to feed the kids sometimes more than allowed making sure no one went hungry. In her senior years she resided at Palacio del Sol senior community where she made several good friends and enjoyed her time there. Sometimes from Palacio del Sol she would walk over to the credit union, while along the way she made sure to carry some dollar bills to hand out to the homeless, always making sure to help someone without any fear. She faced many trials and obstacles, but she remained faithful never asking the Lord why she was put in such situations and always believing that the Lord would see her through. Mom was known for being a kind and a simple women generous and gentle, choosing to remain quiet and peaceful rather than argue. A special thank you to Dr. Edsel Hesita cancer Doctor, because of his care mom was able to live another five years and big thank you to Dr. Jesus Garcia Gallegos PCP. Thank you God for mom and thank you mom, “You were the best thing that ever happened to me” always there between each line of pain and glory, we loved you so much and you were a true blessing for us.
