Chaplain Col. Albert C. Schiff, USAF Ret, age 89, of San Antonio, died Thursday, January 17, 2002. A graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, 1934, he was a member of the Capital University Athletic Hall of Fame. He served as a military chaplain for 22 years retiring as a Colonel from the U.S. Air Force in 1965 where he was Staff Chaplain at Lackland AFB. Chaplain Col. Schiff served Calvary Lutheran Church in San Angelo, TX on two different occasions as well as Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Lexington, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Albert Helen Schiff; son and daughter-in-law, David D. and Carol Schiff, Grove City, OH; grandson, Brent Schiff and wife, Sherri, and Todd Schiff and wife, Marie, all of Grove City, OH; great grandchildren, Kala Schiff and Nik Schiff.
