Charles Walter Anderson of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was 87. Charlie was born at home on November 8, 1933, in Hondo, Texas, to Warren Milton and Nora Effie Anderson. He grew up loving the great outdoors.
Upon graduation from high school in 1952, Charlie entered the United States Army where he served his country during the Korean War. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s University and his Master’s degree from UTSA. He became a beloved school teacher for Northside ISD in the late 1970s and taught until his retirement in 2000.
Charlie loved fixing things, taking care of his land in Castroville, Texas, enjoying a good glass of iced tea, and always being with his family. His legacy lives on every day when we enjoy the warm sunshine, take time to check the weather, and remember that hard work pays off.
