

Charles (Chuck) Leroy Cypert, 67, of Luling, TX, went to be with the Lord after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer on September 22, 2017. He was born on April 22, 1950 in Tulsa, OK, the son of the late Willard and Beulah (Hand) Cypert.
Charles graduated from Coweta High School in 1968 and from Okmulgee Tech School in 1971. After graduating he served three tours in Vietnam as a Navy Seabees Utility man. In 1976, he was employed by PHI Services Inc. as a HVAC technician and later became a co-owner with his business partner Bruce Wermerskirchen until his retirement in 2017.
Chuck loved the outdoors so much it was like his second home. Not only did he like to fish, hunt birds, and shoot guns but he also enjoyed scuba diving, sports, and coaching youth baseball. He was often found having a cold beverage with friends while telling silly and dirty jokes as well as embarrassing and giving folks a hard time. Being a passionate patriot he would also love to discuss politics. Chuck served several years as the president of the Good News Lutheran Youth Association, RSES, AABC, NEBB and ASHRAE.
He was also preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Delbert Davidson Hand and Laura Mae Hand; paternal grandparents Marion Newton Cypert and Goldie Mae (Lay) Cypert; and half-brother Anthony Stone.
Chuck is survived by his wife and best friend, Marcy Link. He was proud of and survived by his three children: Mya (Duane) Johnston of New Braunfels, TX; David (Joanne) Cypert of Chesapeake, VA; Justin (Nicole) Cypert of Floresville, TX; and their mother Bonnie Cypert. He is also survived by step children; Valerie (Chris) Barber and Mark Oman; sisters, Ileene (Mitch) Kelly of Arkansa and Judy Cypert of Muskogee, OK; brother, Steven (Connie) Cypert of Tahlequah, OK and loving grandchildren; Peyton, Karlee, Kaden, Hadley, Owen, Logan, Ava, and Lake; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5th, 5:00pm at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough
