Charles was a great and understanding 
person. My wife,Margaret, and son, 
Patrick liked him very much. He did more than a CPA's job with me-like 
suggesting PC's to me, like my son had 
his help as his CPA.He helped me with 
an IRS audit,which ended on a positive 
note.

Hello, my name is Maria S. Leija, although I'm not related, please accept my condolences on the loss of your loved one. I also would like to share a few biblical thoughts with your family. As you go through your days of grief, draw close to Jehovah God for He is the Father of all mercies and comfort. He is near to those that are broken and crushed. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4,; Psalms 34:18 Yes, it hurts that you won't be able to talk, laugh, or hold them again, but the scriptures assure us in the near future you'll be reunited with them again. Just as Jesus resurrected Lazarus, this powerful act will be fulfilled on a grander scale. Sounds wonderful doesn't it? But you may wonder, what happens to the pangs of death? Again the Bible assures us that soon death and mourning will be done away with. John 5:21,28,29; Revelation 21:1-4 Imagine, death and the sorrow it brings will pass, life without tears and pain. I'm sure that your heart "yearns" to see your loved one again. I can only encourage you to take some "time" for yourself to reflect on the scriptures and know about Gods' promises. Linda Lee, I first met you many years ago when I worked with United Way in fund distribution and you were deeply involved in services for the elderly. You were such an inspiration to me -- your warmth, enthusiasm and dedication were so inspiring. Through the years, I would hear about your work - your dedication, optimism and strength continued to shine through. I am sure Charles was one of your strongest supporters. What a blessing. I am so sorry about Charles's death from his courageous battle with lung cancer. My memories are flooding back from the days in Alamo Heights. We were such good friends and soulmates. We logged in a lot of hours together discussing every girl in school that was a potential date. We laughed a lot. My house was the meeting place and we spent a lot of time there with the "group" of friends. Even though I haven't seen Charles a lot over the years, we always had a special greeting when we saw each other. I will miss him and will miss the thought that I won't see his special smile and twinkle in his eyes again. My condolences to Peggy, John, Linda Lee, Elizabeth and John and all of your family members. I will not be able to attend the funeral as we will be in New York at that time.
