Chuck was born on October 8, 1957 in Munich, Germany and later moved to Farmville, VA where he spent his formative years.
He was the son of Charles and Donna Daye and brother to Dennis and Chris Daye.
The family moved to San Antonio, TX, where Chuck graduated from Mac Arthur High School in 1976. In Chuck's early years, he took great pride in his work on the off shore oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of New Orleans, where he was involved in an accident that resulted in a severed arm and successful reattachment. After a lengthy recovery, he started his career in the home building and construction industry which is where he found his most recent work at Barclay Custom Homes.
Chuck became a captain of "Lover 2 Much" where he found a new passion on the waters of Canyon Lake. Chuck was unlike any other; when you met him, you loved him, and fast became close friends. He loved telling his stories that entertained us all and brought us to tears with his many 'Chuck-isms'.
His father, Charles Rexford Daye, Sr. preceded him in death only last year.
Chuck is survived by his beloved companion, Margaret Davis of San Antonio; his mother Donna Gibson Daye; his daughter Kristin Daye Fentem with her 2 children, Emma and Jaxson Fentem of Montgomery, TX and his son Brandon Daye of San Marcos, TX; his 2 brothers Dennis Daye with wife Tanya and children Erin and Nash Daye of San Antonio and his youngest brother Chris Daye of Minneapolis. We will all miss Chuck for his stories, for his friendship for his countless smiles and mostly his heart
