He was born in Canon City, CO on November 14, 1922. He joined the Army in 1943.
In 1966 he retired from the Air Force as a SMSgt following tours of duty in Europe, Alaska, Iceland and San Antonio.
Charles is survived by his son, Michael Hack and wife, Kaaren; his daughter, Cecelia Hild and husband, Sonny; grandchildren Kirk Nelson, Kam Porter, Kara-Marie Hack, Cody Hack and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was formerly married to Billie Hack- Lang and Laura Liberto.
Charles will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing and his interest in the breeding and showing of his Appaloosa horses.
He was a former member of the Bexar County Sheriff's Mounted Posse.
