Charles E. Hansen, Sr, age 89, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was born in San Antonio on October 24, 1924 to Hans Adolph and Olga Grome Hansen. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, WW II Veteran of the U.S. Navy and was owner of Hansen Brothers Carpet Cleaning.
He is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Patsy Hansen; children, Charles E. Hansen Jr., Debbie Yarnold, Cindy Martin and Micky Hansen; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Kilian.
The visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, 504 Ave. E at McCullough with Pastor Christopher Gentile officiating. The interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
