Charles Shelton Jones was born on March 3, 1939, in Shuqualak, Mississippi and passed away on November 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. He received a bachelor’s degree in government from Florida Atlantic University, then joined the US Navy and served on board the USS Northampton (CC-1). After military duty he worked as a procurement officer for the US Air Force at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio for about 40 years. He was married to Frankie Pace from 2015 until Frankie's death in 2023. He was also preceded in death by his parents, William Jones, Jr. and Mary Jones. He was a member of Madison Square Presbyterian Church.
