

Charles C. Landry entered into rest March 18, 2010 in San Antonio at the age of 76. He was born September 13, 1933 in San Antonio to the late Charles A. and Mae (Collins) Landry. He attended St. Gerard Catholic School from first through twelfth grade, graduating in 1952. He then joined the United States Air Force for 4 years working in radar surveillance. Upon exiting the military, he was accepted into the electrical engineering program at the University of Texas in Austin, graduating with his EE degree from his beloved alma mater in 1961. Charlie has continued to work in the engineering field over the past 50 years until recently becoming ill. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Séamus Aiden Mullins, and brothers and sisters. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Rose Landry; children, Chuck Landry and wife Becky, Duane Landry and wife Lisa, Luanne Sunday and husband Ray, Susan Mullins and husband Patrick, Amy Coursey and husband Rob; grandchildren, Chris, Caitlin, Blake, Jared, Nick, Jonathan, Amanda, Brenden, Zachary, Shane and Colby; great granddaughter, Marcie; sister, Shirley Marcus; numerous nieces and nephews; daughters-in-law Debbie Davidson and Carol Andrews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 22 with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 23 at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with the committal service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park with military honors.
