Rev Dr Macrander was born to Charles and Easter Faye Macrander in Verona, Kentucky, on March 16, 1935. He married Bethellen Welch in January 1960 in Lincoln, Nebraska. His beloved Bethellen preceded him in death in 2007 in San Antionio.
Charles served as a United States Air Force Chaplain for over 27 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel earning a Bronze Star for service during the Vietnam War. He graduated with a Doctor of Ministry and Worship Styles from United Theological Seminary in 1991.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey and David, and granddaughter Hailey.
Charles and Bethellen will be interred together in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Charles’ honor be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
