He was born in Greenville, MS on December 14, 1931 and was preceded in death by his wife, Delphina.
He is survived by his sons, David S. Meyer of Austin, TX; and Allan R. Meyer and his wife, Sharon, and their children, Deborah and Ross of Sugar Land, TX; and daughter, Susan R. Meyer of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by one brother, Carrol S. Meyer, Jr. and his wife, Joyce of San Antonio, TX.
Charles was a Korean War veteran.
After returning to Louisiana Tech at Ruston, LA, he graduated with a degree in accounting and a commission in the Air Force Reserve, later retiring with the rank of Captain.
He was active in the Reserve Officers Association, serving as treasurer and traveling extensively to meetings.
He was also an active alumni of Louisiana Tech Association, and as a long time member of Temple Beth-El, he was active in Brotherhood.
He was involved in many causes.
