To my buddy Chuck. Things just aren't the same without you. I can't express in words how much we all miss you. Just know that you had friends that loved you and cherished you very much. It is with deepest regret that I have missed the services of one of my oldest and dearest friends. . . but I have hundreds and hundreds of memories I will keep & cherish. I will never forget the laughter we shared and "unique" Humor he carried, giving to all that he came in contact with so effortlessly. I am previleged to have had him as a neighbor and grow up with him, honored to have had him and call him my friend, but most of all he was my brother and I will miss him dearly. For all who knew him we called him "Bear" and he will live in the hearts of many forever.

Bear was my friend and my Hall Dancing Partner. His irreverent sense of humor and wit will greatly be missed. Bear and his dad spent the night with us on one of their fishing adventures. The next time Bear came down, he gave us one of his dad's seascape paintings. We have it hanging in our home and enjoy it every day. Mr. & Mrs. Perez, Cindy, Pierre, and Lauren please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved son, brother, and uncle. We will miss him. I believe he is fishing with my brother Ken and each one is telling the other how to catch the "Big One". My prayers are with you.

The loss of a loved can never be fully measured, because they touch so many lives. Chuck will be missed greatly by all who knew him and loved him.

My Dearest Brother, It's hard to believe that your gone. I want you to know that Mom and Dad are ok, and I will take care of them until it is there time to go, and then you will be there to show them their way. That gives me peace. I hope you liked your Memorial service, I know you were watching. I didn't let anyone go "on and on" as you used to put it. I tried to keep it simple, yet elegant, the way you liked to live. I feel your at peace now, no more pain, no more hurting. As the song says, "Go rest high on that mountain, for your work on earth is done".....So now go fishing in the heavens, play in the clouds, and watch over us. When I see you now, I see you sitting on a cloud, with a big smile on your face, your toes dipping in the water, and a fishing pole in your hand. Remember, I will watch over everyone here, and when the time comes you take over on that side my dear brother. Rest in peace, and we will all be with you again one day. Until then save me a seat on that cloud, because I will go fishing with you again, one day. And please save me a "big" one!! All my love,

I was so saddened when my sis informed me of Chucky's passing...He had such a sweet and loving heart...I still remember when I used to babysit both he and his sis, "Cindy Bear"...my condolence and love to his family...

Sorry, I tried to type something for Chuckie but I guess it got deleted. All I wnat to say is that everytime I saw him, including last week; he always smile at me and told me good morning. He knew me and my husband Artie, and was always real nice to us. He was and is a good person. Tell Chuckie we loved him; Artie and me. Also, Tell him Nita and I drank a shot to his honor.... We will miss you Chuckie....

Mr. & Mrs. Perez: I grew up and played with "Chucky" and "Cindy Bear" as we called her. My dad Abel Reyes lives down the street from you all. I was heart broken to hear of Chucky's passing. As you know, I have lost two of my brothers Danny and Ruben - aka Buckand I can only understand a portion of your pain. There isn't much to say to ease your sorrow. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and ask that God help you all through this very difficult time. May he show you all his peace and love. Death is not eternal...we will see each other again when God returns. I live on that promise to see my mom and brothers. Losing my twin brother was probably the hardest situation I have ever had to deal with. Three years later, it is still painful and I miss him terribly...he was my best friend. It's not normal for a parent to outlive his child, but you have to believe that everything happens for a reason. Keep Chucky's memory alive in your heart and mind and he will never be far away. Mr./Mrs. Perez, Please accept my condolences and those of my co-workers at Corpus Christi Army Depot. Those in my department worked with or close to "Chuck" since his coming here. I even had the joy of sharing the fishing pier at the NAS a couple of times with him. He spoke fondly of fishing trips with his dad and mentioned his parents regularly. He was among the first people I'd see every morning as I came to work as I, like him am an early riser. Chuck had a great work ethic and very careful to produce work he could be fond of, he was a real asset to CCAD. Please be comforted in your loss as we pray God's comfort and peace upon you. We are all saddened by the loss of our freind and co-worker, " Big Chuck". It was truely a pleasure and honor to have worked with Chuck and to have been given the opportunity to meet him, get to know him and to be able to call him our freind.

It is with great sadness that we write this tribute to our dear friend, "Chucky." We have many fond memories of spending Christmas Eve with Chuck and his parents. Fishing and picnicking by the stream at the cabin were always a part of our Easter Celebrations. To Charles and Fern Perez, a piece of our family is gone as well, but he will never be forgotten.
