
On September 10, 2004 Charles left this world to be with his God and Jean, his beloved wife of 57 years, who predeceased him on October 7, 2000.
Charles leaves behind two loving sons, Charles E. Sparks, Jr. and William A. Sparks, their wives Kathleen and Polly, and two grandsons, Robert and Jonathan.
Charles is most remembered for his selfless devotion to his wife and family and his active involvement in Manor Baptist Church in San Antonio. He was a friend to all who knew him.
Charles graduated from the University of Illinois as an accountant. During his life he served as a commissioned officer in WW II, he owned and operated AAA Insulating Co. in San Antonio for many years and worked for civil service at Kelly AFB as an accountant until retirement.
He and Jean traveled extensively in their RV seeing most of the United States. Charles and Jean had moved to the Austin, Texas area from San Antonio about six years ago to be near their children and grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Buckner Villas Nursing Home for their loving care.
