Charles Danny Thomas, III

Charley was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dan (Charles Danny Thomas Jr.) and Cheryl Marie Fowler. He is survived by his devoted wife, Annette and their daughters, Alisyn Marie and Audriana Melanie; his brothers: Michael (Beth), Pete, Michael (Stephanie), and James; his stepmother, Cherlyn; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as his dogs Keiko and Lydia.

Charley was born and raised in California where he developed a love of sports and the ocean. In 1994 he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas where he met Annette, his wife of 28 years. After Charley’s honorable discharge from the Air Force, he attended the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Engineering and graduated in 1999. Charley and Annette soon moved back to his beloved California where they started their family. In Charley’s free time he played baseball and soccer and even found the time to coach high school baseball and once his daughters were old enough he started coaching their sports teams along with his wife. When Charley wasn’t playing sports or coaching you would catch him watching any and all sports he could and cheering on his favorite teams.

Internment with Full Military Honors will be at 10:45 am, Friday, December 15, 2023 at Fort Sam National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers: Big Mike, Pete, Little Mike, James, and also his cousin Carlos Thomas and brother-in-law Mike.
