'Melba, Matt, Laura and Mark...TK had called me a couple of days after Charlie's passing. It's hard losing the 'go to guy'. He brought us all together over 40 years ago, so many stories and memories. God bless you all.'

'As a teenager I remember Charlie at KRIO here in McAllen. June Brann, recptionist/secretary, Jay West, Ed Lionel, Larry Monroe - DJ's, and back in the good days of radio. While in McAllen I took Charles an "old" KRIO air check and "sign-on" which he did every morning at 6 AM along with the Star Spangled Banner. RIP Mr. Trub.'
