Charlie was a loving husband and family man who enjoyed working around his home, gardening, and fishing at the Texas coast. Until his retirement, he was employed by AT&T Lucent.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Kay Winters, in March of 2015. His survivors include daughters, Tara Winters Rush and husband Rob Rush of New Braunfels, and Kristen Winters of San Antonio; 2 granddaughters, Lexie and Rylee; a stepdaughter, Tammy Cowen of New Braunfels; a brother, Carl Winters and wife Ceil Winters of Canyon Lake; a sister, Kathy Winters Rothe and husband Rick Rothe of New Braunfels; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
