LTC Charles W. Bill Young, USAF Ret age 80, of San Antonio, died Saturday, January 19, 2001. He retired after 30 years in the USAF, where he served as a pilot during WWII and overseas in Korea and Vietnam. After retirement, he enjoyed golf, his family, Alzafar Shrine Golf Unit and The Highlanders. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Young and step-daughter, Peggy McBride. Survivors: sons, Charles W. Young, Jr. and Richard L. Young; daughter, Gwen Ann Benson; step-daughter, Pamela Pullin; step-son, Patrick Maloney; numerous grandchildren.
