He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart medal.
Mr. Strange was a member of the Lutheran Church in Kerrville, TX. He was a past Master of Anchor Lodge No. 424, past President of Hermann Sons Lodge of Kerrville, TX and a past Commander of the VFW in Fredericksburg, TX.
Mr. Strange was a lifelong high school teacher.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Joe and Nellie Mae Strange and his sister, Ruby Clay. He is survived by his brother, Carl S. Strange; sister, Mary O. Woosley and children: Robert J. Strange, Samuel E. Strange, David L. Strange and Patricia A. Strange.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 20th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
