Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, sister, Granny, Nana and friend. She was a woman whose heart overflowed with love and nothing brought her greater joy than her family. Her children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her pride and joy, and she adored them with all her heart. Whether it was cheering them on at events, celebrating their accomplishments, or simply sharing everyday moments, Charlotte’s love was constant, unwavering, and deeply felt. Her family will forever cherish the way she made each of them feel so special and unconditionally loved.
Charlotte is survived by her children Jennifer Mueller (Miles) and Clint Smith (Michelle). Grandchildren Ashley Forton (Marcues), Trent Smith, Aaron Smith (Angelica), Avery Smith, Nathan Mueller (Sutton), Zachary Mueller, Trey Mueller, Great-grandchildren Aleigha Guzman (Eddie), Aubrey Forton, Baylee Forton, Evan Smith, Taylen Mueller and great-great-granddaughter Oakley Guzman. Her brother Rodney Boyd (Deborah) and sister and travel buddy Brenda Lane (Don) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Jerrold D Smith, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion that time could never break and now they are reunited in eternal peace.
Charlotte leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and faith. She will be remembered for her sweet and gentle spirit, her dedication to family, and the joy she found in life’s simple but meaningful treasures. Her love will continue to guide her family, and her memory will forever live in their hearts.
A service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North located at located at 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX, 78232. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate the beautiful life Charlotte lived.
