Charlotte Rosemary Hume Wright

She was preceded to heaven by her husband of 56 years, Gilbert Greer Wright, III and is survived by her four children, Elizabeth Hume Wright Bondurant and husband, Charles J. Bondurant, Suzanne Ashby Wright Vollmer and husband, Ferdinand J. Vollmer, III, Gilbert Greer Wright, IV and Heather Hume Wright, sister-in-law, Dela Wright White. Other survivors are her five grandchildren, Suzanne Bondurant Van Ingen, Caroline Chittim Bondurant, Alexander Wright Vollmer, and twin granddaughters, Madison Elizabeth Wright and Mallory Cathryn Wright and her cousin, Julian Tallichet, Jr.

Rosemary was born in Dallas, Texas, December 5, 1924.

She attended Highland Park High School in Dallas and the University of Texas at Arlington and Austin, Texas, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She served as an aide to the Commanding Officer of the Fifth Ferry Command, Dallas, Texas, during World War II. Rosemary lived successively, in San Antonio, Texas, Houston, Texas, Bogota, Columbia, Corpus Christi, Texas, and again in San Antonio where she lived until her death.

She was very active over many years in civic and social organizations. She was a member of Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, The Assembly, the Junior League of San Antonio, a founding member of the Charity Ball Association, and a member of the San Antonio Country Club, The Argyle, Timely Topics Club, The Forum, Pilon and the Merry Wives.
