Chocre José Gidi

Chocre Jose Gidi, 79, formerly of Allen Park, Michigan and recent resident of Canyon Lake, Texas, passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas on April 16, 2022. Beloved husband of Juana Maria Gidi for 22 years. Loving father of Virginia (Ginny) Eve Gidi and Joseph Chocre Gidi. Dearest "Abuelo" of Elena Maria Gidi.

Chocre was a lifetime employee of Detroit Diesel until 2005 and continued to talk about his years as an engineer and related worldly travels well beyond. Upon retirement, he and Juana Maria resettled in Canyon Lake, Texas, where they enjoyed hosting friends and family. Chocre continued to enjoy his favorite pastimes of traveling with Juana Maria, hunting, and riding his motorcycle until he was no longer able to due to his advancing Parkinsons. He also continued his longtime passions of eating chocolate ice cream and spending time with his daughter and granddaughter until he passed peacefully after a brief illness.
