Although small in stature, Christiane’s presence filled the room. Once you met her you never forgot her. She loved to listen to people, had a passion for gardening, and was an amazing “chef” that specialized in French cuisine. Christiane was a native to France where her family owned a restaurant, bar and dance hall, and where General George S. Patton and his dog, Willie during World War II were privileged enough to meet her, as her father was a member of the French Resistance. This is one of the many stories she told about her wonderful life. She was a proud Army wife that loved to travel the world. She was very fond of all types of music and she was a wonderful singer and dancer. She was once selected to attend Paris-Sorbonne University for Opera. Christiane was so proud of her French roots that she longed to become a French Ambassador. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
