

Ms. Christina “Tina” Potter-Cullum, age 70, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on May 27, 2021 with her daughter by her side. She was born on April 17, 1951, in Osaka, Japan to parents, Drs. Wilhelm Zuelzer and Margot (Bayer) Zuelzer. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and earned a bachelor’s degree in International Communications. She applied her enthusiasm, intellect, and personal charm within accomplished careers. She founded the Black Book of Houston in 1982 and later went on to be a leader at Berkeley Heart Labs and Quest Diagnostics. She was known by her colleagues as bright and innovative, with long-range vision.
Christina had a loving, generous spirit and brilliant sense of humor. She was a devoted mother, loving daughter and sister, and loyal friend. She never met a stranger and developed deep and caring connections with all those who had the pleasure and privilege to know her. Christina loved her many friends and enjoyed numerous activities in her spare time. She was a member of Oak Hills Church, volunteered her time with SNIPSA, and dedicated her time and resources to helping those in need. She enjoyed spending time with animals, traveling, walking, writing, and in bible study. As a dear friend put it best, "she loved the world bigger than her size.”
Christina was preceded in death by her father, Wilhelm Zuelzer. She is survived by her loving mother, Margot Zuelzer; daughter, Katie Cullum; brother, Wilhelm Zuelzer, Jr. and his wife, Helen Zuelzer; sister, Mary Zuelzer Arambula, and her husband, Michael Arambula; nieces and nephews, Emily Zuelzer Teitelbaum, David Zuelzer, Alexandra Arambula, Zachary Arambula, Jessica Arambula, and Adam Arambula; great-nieces and nephews, Katherine Zuelzer, Eloise Teitelbaum, Ryan Zuelzer, Samuel Teitelbaum, Cruz Arambula, and Mia Arambula; her beloved dog, Honey Bear; and grand-dog, Scout. She will be greatly loved and missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched and influenced over her lifetime.
The family would like to give special thanks to the excellent staff from Visiting Angels and Compassus Hospice.
A memorial service in her honor will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1pm at Porter Loring Mortuary North. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SNIPSA, a pet rescue organization at SNIPSA INC, P.O. Box 90325, San Antonio, TX 78209.
