Christine V. Bilicki, Ph.D.

Christine V. Bilicki PhD, age 62, went to Heaven on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana Christine graduated from Andrean High School, received her degree in Chemistry at Indiana University, and her PhD from The University of Nebraska. Christine's passion for teaching lead her to Pasadena Community College in Pasadena California where she was a Professor of Organic Chemistry from 1990 to 2010. She was an inspiration to many of her students to follow a career path that would involve chemistry. Since she had summers off, she enjoyed traveling to many different parts of the world. She is survived by her mother, Mary Bilicki; sister, Diane Brown; two nephews, Kirt Brown and Christopher Brown; along with several cousins. Proceeded in death by father, Stanley Bilicki; nephew, Eric Brown. Viewing will be held Monday, December, 12th, at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Home, Merrillville Indiana. December 13th Mass will be said at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Merrillville Indiana. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage Indiana.
