

Christine Cohen age 72 of San Antonio died Thursday, September 13, 2012, born in Warsaw, Poland. She was a holocaust survivor with her mother. Her name at birth was Rita Grabina born to Sander and Lola Grabina. Her mother remarried after the war to Leon Teicher. Leon, Lola, Christine and Mark moved to Israel, then to New York. Christine married Stanley Cohen in 1963 in San Antonio and were married for 49 years. She is survived by her two children, Stephen S, and Melissa Ann Dean and her husband, Christian; two grandchildren; Brooke and Blake Dean. Christine became a Travel Agent 20 years ago and is currently with Becky Jones Travel. Christine became a (MCC) Master Cruise Consultant in 1994. Christine and Stanley have many wonderful cousins and close friends. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July, 2010 and was treated at the Start Center by Dr. Lon Smith for the last two years- our thanks. For the last 10 years she spoke to high school students about the Holocaust. The family would like to express a special thank you to Julie Pruski for all of her care and concern.
