United States Marine Corps LCPL Christopher Lee Friend, age 41, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Chris was born on March 15, 1978 in San Antonio adopted by James and Connie Friend. He graduated MacArthur High School in 1996 and then joined the United States Marine Corps the same year. He was in the Marines from 1996 to 2000.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Friend. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ana Friend; children, Austin Friend, Alexzander Friend, September Friend; brothers, Daniel Friend and Matt Friend (Starla); mother, Connie Friend.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

Pastor Andy from Tribe of Judah and Pastor Mike Waddle from Place of Grace will officiate. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at 1:30 P.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Pallbearers (Honorary Pallbearer) will be Austin Friend, (Alexzander Friend), Russ Autenrieth, Opie Landwehr, Matt Munguia, Brian Dillon, Jorge Medrano, Matt Lopez, and Ron Castillo.
