Christopher Sean Kret, age 48, entered into eternal rest on September 8, 2020 in San Antonio, TX. Chris was born to Clifford Kret Jr. and Susan Hall Kret on May 1, 1972. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, husband and loyal friend to all whose lives he has touched and he will remain in our hearts forever.

Chris came into this world as a very large baby, tipping the scales at 11 lbs. 6 ozs. He was a happy child. Fishing was a keystone in his life. So much so, he kept a rod and reel in his vehicle at all times. He loved everything from open water on a lake to a small tank or creek. Whether fishing alone or with others he wanted to share the pleasure of the sport with everyone. He was a talented guy with a natural ability to fix just about anything and was always there to help anyone in need. Chris was a kind soul who was accepting of people, slow to judge and a fierce defender of those he loved.

Chris is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clifford Sr. and Mildred Kret and his maternal grandparents Evangeline Hall and John H. Hall. He is survived by his children Brittney Vale, Lauren Kret and Jazz, Christian, Jordan and Payton Diaz, his father Clifford Kret, Jr. and mother Susan Quigley and husband Mike, his brother David Kret and wife Veronica, sister Natalie Pope, his first wife Angel Vale, second wife, true love and forever friend, Kelly Toro as well as a large extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate Christopher’s life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas on Thursday, September 17, 2020 with visitation at 12pm followed by a Funeral Service at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Haven for Hope in Christopher’s memory.

I don’t have many memories with Chris, from the time I did spend with him though, he was always smiling no matter the situation. He helped me countless times with my AC unit, got me interested in drones and was just all around energetic with passion over the things he loved. I appreciate everything you did for me, Chris.. your passing to the next journey in this life will leave a trail of tears but where there is tremendous pain, there is deep love. This life is beautiful and tragic within the same breath; the ones we love are with us one day and gone the next. Until we see each other again, cousin. Love you.

Live like there is no tomorrow and love like you’re on borrowed time.

Chris took me fishing. We would go fishing all the time. I was with Chris when I caught the biggest fish I had ever caught. My favorite memory with Chris is the Hoover boards. He was showing me how good he was at it until it was time to get off and he busted his a**. I had never laughed so hard in my life, I almost peed myself, and just to make it even better, when I did it, I busted my a** the same exact way. He never judged me and always was happy. I'm very sorry to hear about Chris's death.

We first met Chris 5 years ago as next door neighbors. It was unforgettable. He wanted us to know that he wasn't perfect before we became friends. We kind of looked at him like... "we aren't prefect either so glad to meet you." Chris was always a good friend and was always willing to help anyone do anything that needed to be done. one of the smartest guys we have ever known with a natural knack for learning things that most men never bother to learn anymore. Everyone went to Chris for answers and always got help when needed. Rest in Peace brother. Until Valhalla.
