Christopher Ueckert beloved son, brother, and uncle has been called home by our Lord. Christopher was born in San Antonio, TX on January 26, 1984. Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymundo, Sr. and Ma. Elena Estrada, and William and Elvira Ueckert as well as uncles and a cousin.
Christopher was truly a gentle giant, a humble man with the most beautiful soul one could encounter. He had the biggest heart, and it could be seen in the way he treated others, especially his mom, his sisters, brother, nephews and nieces, and Aunt Ana. Christopher was always ready to help who ever needed it. His big heart did not allow him to pass by a homeless without giving them some money, even if it was only eleven cents. He once said, “he may just be short eleven cents to pay for his next meal.” Christopher was an avid animal lover, his pets were a dog, a pet rat, and a goldfish, as well as an adopted elephant in Africa.
His faith in God was unshaken especially in the most difficult times of his short life. Aside from having conversations with God, he would ask our Blessed Mother, Grandma Estrada, and St. John Paul II to intercede for him or for anyone who needed prayers. He enjoyed reading the bible, listening to the news, watching game shows, and was a history buff. Christopher had the most incredible memory; he was highly intelligent and knew the most random answers to questions. He was the most intelligent person his sister-in-law Yvette had ever met. He had a brilliant mind, funny, caring, and fiercely loyal. His favorite historical figure was Winston Churchill.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Dolores Ueckert; his father, Howard W. Ueckert, Sr.; brother, Howard W. Ueckert, Jr. (Bettina); sisters, Taylor Ann Ueckert, Spencer Lori and Yvette Ueckert; nephews, Caleb W. Ueckert, Joshua W. Ueckert, Donovan G. U. Gilbert; nieces, Chloe N. Ueckert, and Rebekah G. Ueckert; his beloved aunt Ana; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Christopher will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
A rosary will be held prior to the funeral mass at St. Matthew Catholic Church on a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
