
She was a descendant of pioneering families whose members fought in both the American Revolution and for Texas freedom in the war of independence from Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alexander H Fraser, and her sisters Johnnie Sheffield and Eva Pannell.
Clara is survived by her sister Bertha Sloviaczek of Phoenix, AZ, her children Charles K Fraser of San Antonio, Dr. Clara Jane Fraser of Houston, and Joan Fraser Gaedke and husband Lloyd Gaedke of Tracy CA, her grandchildren Carla and husband Herman Dyal of Austin, Robert Fraser of Denver CO, James and wife Linda Fraser of Universal City and Tobin Alexander Gaedke of Dallas; great grandchildren Madison and Molly Dyal of Austin and Travis Fraser of Harlingen. Other surviving family member include nieces Eugene Sharp, Gail Ensdorf, Karen Colungo, grandnieces Teresa Sharp, Debra Cooper, Kim Parker and grand nephew Richard Colungo and special family friends Louise Henderson and Doris O'Bannon.
She was a 60 year member of St Mark's Episcopal Church and belonged to the following organizations: National Society of the Daughters of the American Colonist The Rose Window of San Jose Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution San Antonio De Bexar Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas Alamo Mission Chapter, National Society Magna Charta Dames and Barons Texas Division, Texas Society of the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 Captain Augustus Jones Chapter No 81, National Society Ladies of the Thistle, Jamestowne Society and the Scottish Society of San Antonio, TX.
